Your 6 days Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech begins with a pickup from Casablanca airport or your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, you will start exploring Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic capital.
The first visit is the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the most iconic landmarks in Morocco, beautifully located beside the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, continue to the famous Casablanca Corniche, a lively coastal area known for ocean views, cafés, and seaside walks. You will also visit Mohammed V Square, also known as Pigeons Square, one of the main landmarks in Casablanca city center.
If your arrival is late and some visits are not possible on the first day, they can be completed the following morning before leaving Casablanca. (Recommended arrival time: anytime before 3 PM)
After breakfast, visit any Casablanca sites that were not possible on Day 1, then depart toward Rabat, the capital city of Morocco and one of the country’s historic imperial cities.
In Rabat, visit the iconic Hassan Tower, the elegant Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the charming Kasbah of the Oudayas, famous for its white-and-blue streets and panoramic views over the Bouregreg River.
After exploring Rabat, continue inland toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. In Meknes, your visit includes the impressive Bab El Mansour Gate, one of the most famous monumental gates in Morocco, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, an important historic and spiritual site dedicated to Sultan Moulay Ismail, and Sahrij Souani, the old royal granaries and water reservoir built during the city’s imperial period.
Later, continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of the most important archaeological sites in Morocco. Here, you can walk among old Roman columns, mosaics, arches, and open landscapes that reflect Morocco’s rich ancient history.
By late afternoon or evening, continue to Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Upon arrival, check in to your riad or hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day dedicated to discovering Fes, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in Morocco. This day adds more depth to your 6 days Morocco itinerary, allowing you to experience the cultural, historical, and spiritual side of the country at a relaxed pace.
Start with panoramic and outside visits by car, including the impressive Royal Palace gates, the traditional ceramic and pottery district, and a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Fes medina. These stops give you a beautiful introduction to the size and character of the old city.
Afterward, explore the famous Fes el-Bali medina, a UNESCO-listed old city known for its narrow streets, traditional souks, artisan workshops, and historic monuments. During the visit, you may see highlights such as the Al Quaraouiyine area, the Nejjarine district, traditional fountains, old madrasas from the outside or inside when available, and the famous Chouara Tanneries.
The rest of the day is free to enjoy Fes at your own pace, relax at your riad, or explore more of the medina depending on your interests.
Today, your 6 days tour from Casablanca continues toward the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, leave Fes and travel south through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, one of the most beautiful routes between northern Morocco and the desert.
Your first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets, alpine-style architecture, and cool mountain climate. Continue to the nearby cedar forest, where you may see the famous Barbary macaques in their natural environment.
The journey then continues through mountain scenery, Berber villages, and palm-filled valleys before reaching the spectacular Ziz Valley panoramic viewpoint, one of the most beautiful gateways to the Sahara Desert. Later, pass through Erfoud, a town well known for fossils and dates, where you may visit a local fossil workshop.
In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga Desert, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi begin. Leave the vehicle behind and enjoy a memorable camel ride for sunset across the dunes. For travelers who prefer not to ride camels, a 4×4 transfer to the desert camp is available as an alternative.
At the camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber drum music around the campfire. The rest of the evening is free for relaxing and stargazing in the Sahara Desert.
After breakfast in the desert, meet your driver and continue your journey from the Sahara toward the valleys and gorges of southern Morocco.
The first stop is Rissani, a historic town known for its authentic traditional market, especially lively on market days. It is one of the best places to experience local southern Moroccan life, trade, spices, dates, and traditional crafts.
Continue toward Tinghir and the impressive Todra Gorges, where high canyon walls rise dramatically on both sides. Here, you will have time for a short walk of around 15 to 30 minutes through the gorge and along the riverbed.
Later, travel through the rugged landscapes of southern Morocco to reach Dades Valley, famous for kasbah scenery, mountain views, and unusual rock formations. One of the highlights here is the famous Monkey Fingers rock formation, a natural landscape shaped by erosion and one of the most photographed spots in the valley.
On the final day of your 6 days Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, depart from Dades Valley and travel through the fragrant Rose Valley, also known as Kalaat M’Gouna. If you wish, stop at one of the local cooperatives to learn about rose products and the traditional production process, even outside the harvest season.
Continue toward Ouarzazate and then to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visited kasbahs in Morocco. Here, you will have time for a short hike of around 40 minutes to explore the ancient mud-brick village and enjoy panoramic views over the surrounding landscapes.
After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops at panoramic viewpoints to admire the mountain scenery and traditional Berber villages along the route.
By late afternoon or evening, arrive in Marrakech, where your 6 day Morocco itinerary ends with a drop-off at any location accessible by car. If your riad is inside the medina and not reachable by vehicle, the driver can help contact your accommodation to arrange the nearest meeting point. (If departing from Marrakech airport, we recommend flights after 22:00 / 10 PM to allow enough time for transfers without rushing.)
We spent six unforgettable days in Morocco!! During this brief stay, we visited all the most iconic sights of this beautiful country. Our driver, Saïd, deserves top marks! Thanks to his vast experience, enthusiasm, and friendliness, he ensured we had a safe and enjoyable trip. This trip was organized by Ismael and Hamid. They were extremely patient and paid close attention to every detail. Not only did I return home with countless wonderful memories and moments of joy, but I also gained a Moroccan name—“Khadija”—which was given to me by our driver, Saïd. We will definitely return to embark on a new adventure with Saïd!
This trip was unforgettable in so many ways! Our family of six (all adults) had an excellent experience working with Kara Morocco Tours, starting from the very moment we first contacted them to inquire about the tours. They always responded quickly to our questions, and the booking process was very straightforward.
The itinerary they provided—combined with some of our personalized adjustments—allowed us to experience many of Morocco’s highlights, perfectly blending magnificent natural scenery, historical landmarks, bustling markets, city tours, and breathtaking desert landscapes. After riding a dromedary to watch the beautiful sunset, our “glamping” experience in the desert—complete with air conditioning, a full bathroom with a shower, and a five-course dinner—was incredibly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. The other hotels and riads were also very comfortable—a perfect blend of charm and exotic flair in safe locations.
